Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help? I installed Roxio Creator 2010 after upgrading. There are 2 problems:

1. It wouldn't burn the media files onto disc. It froze at various points ( after a number of attempts), at 6% and generally 34%.
Although the programme showed as still running, it had basically stopped burning the disc. I've seen the responses to this, I use Win 7 64bit. And Roxio 9 works a treat on the system. Does anyone know ( and I have downgraded the service pack too, checked the latest drivers ( signed 23rd sept 09) for my graphics card, and got the latest direct x.

2. I tried to uninstall Roxio 10, it then crashed, and now won't let me re-install it at all! I've cleared the registry of all reference to Roxio 10, and still keeps giving me the error message that it is missing some elements, and cannot re-install.

Any assistance would be apprreciated!

Cheers,

Chris. smile.gif

In order for anyone to help you have to tell us what you are doing blink.gif

"It wouldn't burn the media files onto disc" doesn't tell us very much. No hint of what you are trying to burn: data, audio, video???
What program from the suite are you using???

If Roxio Creator 2010 and Roxio 10 are the same program then please use the correct name at all times - Creator 2010 at least. There is no such program as Roxio 10 rolleyes.gif

Please also list your system specs.

Hi, thanks for replying.

I was burning ( and converting) an Avi file to burn to DVD. Using MyDvd. The Roxio/Creator Is version 2010.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit, on a quad core system, with Ati graphics card, 8 Gb Ram.  I actually had a hell of a time with version 2009 ( Creator), it was only the recent patch that fixed that problem. Seems to me that this one has the same issues.

I think the worst of it, is that I cannot re-install the programme, I actually put the programme onto another Computer ( dual Core high powered), and it's still wonky.

Roxio products to be fair have been ok so far for the editing I've done on them, but I've always had a problem with the Mydvd part of it.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Chris.
