well, DVDit does not transcode elementary streams, it accepts them right away if made according to my instructions
are you using the non HD version? what is your save destination rive? it needs to be NTFS
btw, I am using XP Pro, it sounds like you are using win7

This should be true.
But, unfortunately, there is a bug in DVDitPro that causes it to re-encode even elementary streams IN SOME CASES!
The filter/codecs that DVDitProHD uses in muxing/demuxing are sometimes hi-jacked by other filters/codecs that have been installed with other applications that also have some muxing/demuxing functions.
When this happens DVDitProHD gets the wrong signals from the elementary stream and goes ahead and re-encodes it.
So Antonsvideo files work on his computer.
If he sent one of his files to xxxxxxxxx (sorry if I mispelled that) xxxxxxxxx would most likely not get the file to do a straight pass through. It would be re-encoded.

Thanks for the confirmation Pete!
This bug has been around for quite some time>
I found it by chance when working with the new BD Powerstation.
Many of the discussions on this forum over the past year or so have been based on the thought that it was a case of getting a compliant file and then it was guaranteed to go straight through DVDitProHD. As we both know now - this is not the case.
As far as I know this bug is being worked on by Sonic technicians right now.
They want to force DVDitProHD to use the correct codecs no matter what others are on your system.

It is ALWAYS best to work with elementary streams with DVDit HD, Scott and I had many emails on an issue that could not be solved, until I tried demuxing the clip and it would work! I even sent Scott the clip and they could see my problem but I don't know if they ever fixed it. The demuxer needs to be trashed and be rewritten!!!
