The software works just fine and so does the install. There is obviously something screwy with your system.

BTW, this is not Roxio but just a users forum rolleyes.gif

Interesting that as a user's forum, you would block comments from users. This will be my last entry, so you needn't worry about censoring the content.

Well, I did stick with the install long enough to try several suggestions made by Roxio support. One addressed the concern that i had a bad drive.I copied the entire CD over to a local folder and ran the install from that location (yes, I had the USB plugged in first). The install ran to completion, and upon restarting my laptop, I found my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 3200) had been disabled. It took a while to recover from this, after which time I still could not get Roxio services to start correctly.

By the way, the system is an out of the box HP Laptop running XP Pro (sp3). "Screwy" - nice opinion, but not so in fact.
Long story short, the product was returned and I purchased Honestech VHSto DVD 4.0 Deluxe. It installed with no issues, and is working just fine. Have fun discussing the merits (or lack of them) of being a Roxio customer.

The topic that you butted into was locked because it had run its course and your post had nothing to do with the topic nor did it contribute anything.

Sorry it did work for you but if you really are a Software Engineer, you know that it could not do what you claim it did laugh.gif
