when i try to download service pack 2 for roxio its says that the software not found and i need to reinstall !
i have done this twice now and its still the same.
i am going insane.
i have contacted many members , but to no avail. thanks people for the suggestions.
im still having the same problem.
i CANNOT capture anything.
one screen reads no signal , another reads greyed out capture now box.
i have tryed changing the composite and device options . . . .heck i even played around with pal , ntsc and secam settings and back again.
i dont have a back USB port like some one suggested, i have three but there is no difference no matter which one i use
i also do not have any kind of device attached. like someone else kindly mentioned.
but STILL cant get this bloody thing to work.
i dont want to pay 1 pound a minute ! to get something to work , that should work anyway !
i have launched a request with roxios tech support ( been waiting a week now ! ) ,
this has to be the WORST product i have brought yet ! unless someone can point me in the direction of a service pack/product to make this work ! - although i DO NOT want to pay out for something that should ultimately work . i would be more than greatful.
just was STILL wondering if ANYONE can help !
please im desperate !

Look through cdanteek’s pinned post at the top and compare his pictures with your system.

A needed clarification, here. You were trying to install SP2, not download it. You already dowloaded it, from Roxio's server.

It looks like you have some newer version of the software, that none of us have seen. SP2 may not be needed.
How are you connected, from your VCR, to the USB device? Are you using a SCART adapter? Some don't work.
James Hardin posted a link to one that is known to work. Here is the link:
