Hi there,
I just finished recording a 2 hour video with Easy VHS to DVD for Mac, and as the app was saving what I was recording to my Movies folder it crashed. Does this mean that what I recorded is gone forever, or is there some chance of recovering it?
Thanks in advance.

I did look. There's the partial saved movie in my movies folder - 756.1MB. Also looked inside the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD app package. Looked in the Library folders, both in my home folder and under the root directory, under the Application Support/Roxio folder and there was nothing there that even mentioned Easy VHS to DVD (in either folder). In a Finder window, I clicked "Today" under the Search For section and all it lists are the applications I've used and the partial saved movie. Any other ideas on where else to look?
If a crash just wipes a movie out with no provisions for recovery, that's just plain evil IMHO.

If the recording is completed before the crash happens I'd expect it the video to be available. Otherwise it would be a corrupted file and unusable. I haven't had this happen so you know more than I do about the aftermath.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Well, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen to me! lol I did end up redoing the recording and everything went fine the second time around, thank the Heavens and stars. I bet the original file was corrupt, since the status bar for the saving of the MPG file stopped at about the quarter-way point before the app crashed.
All's well that ends well, I guess. Hope this doesn't happen again!
Thanks for the replies.
