I have video from two different cancorders. 1 is standard definition 4:3 and the other is HD 16:9. My question is how can I use both in the same production? Do I need to convert them to the same format or is there a simple method.

Ratios cannot be changed…

You can use them in the same production one will have black bars and you can't change that.
