[size="3"]My installation of Sonic Cineplayer DVD Decoder v2.31 is not working properly with MS Media Player.  The DVD runs a little slowly and the sound is badly corrupted.  It used to work OK but the problem arose after I reinstalled the operating system (XP home edition).  Note that I have since downloaded and installed a fresh copy of the Cineplayer software.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Go to Control Panel-- Locate CP option and try playing with Hardware Acceleration settings.

Thanks for your prompt reply.  I tried altering the settings you suggested along with some others but the problem persists.  I changed the sound card and audio drivers and that had no benefit either.  Any other suggestions appreciated.

Why did you reinstall the operating system?  You might want to scan your hard disk for errors.

You should also be sure that you reinstalled all of your motherboard drivers. Failure to do that can slow down the works.

Many thanks for your advice.  I found that I had not installed one of the drivers for the motherboard (JMRAID; JMB36X).  The problem is now resolved - thanks again.
