I just installed EMC7.5 on a new laptop. However, the BackupMyPC program was the only program in the EMC7.5 suite that was NOT TURNED ON. How do I turn on BackupMyPC?

New laptop? What operating system? I'm surprised you get anything to work.
Open Control panel, look at the start up processes. Is it listed and is there a check mark next to it?
Do you have a different back up program already on your computer?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
