I recently purchased Easy VHS to DVD for MAC and an external 1TB hard drive to copy all of my VHS tapes.

How can I direct the software to copy the VHS directly to the external drive?

It cannot be done with the current version. Roxio knows that this is a requested feature. You can copy the recordings to the external hard drive after they are completed.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Hi, I did the same thing you did,but made that external drive bootable.I booted from it and installed the software on it. I haven't gone further yet but I will let you know if I can copy the VHS tapes to it directly... It should work  :-))
I am running Snow Leopard  :-(

I didn't want to wait for an update so I let the video go to my computer's hard drive and then inside iMovie, I dragged the event to my external drive. Seems to work fine.
