Windows Xp Home SP3
Dell Dimension 2350 Cpmputer
Internet Explorer 8
====================

I tried to install the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.2 Basic and I am getting the following message:

"EASY CD CREATOR 5

"Easy CD Creator 5 is incompatible with this version of Windows."

Please advise.

Roll back to IE6 and see if that helps - but remember, you are using an app that is a full seven versions back from the current one and is well out of date
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Please see the post pinned at the top of this forum about installing ECDC 5 in XP, HERE.

Paragraph 4 covers your question:
QUOTE
4) Method:
-Install from CD, ignoring any 'compatibility' complaints from XP. Don't reboot
-install the large 5.3.5.10 updater, and then reboot. [this prevents XP from seeing the earlier version ECDC drivers running]
-apply the DriveUp patch if necessary.
