there are no supported cd-recorders on this system, yet i test my drive?

when i have more then one dvd drive available, how do i set the default drive to the one i prefer. in my tools options the set default button is greyed out?

how can i test my drive[E:=external cd/dvd usb], yet i get the error msg"there are no supported cd-recorders on this system" why?

Did it ever work? What version of Roxio do you have? What O/S ?.

If you have Xp use the built in data capabilities of it prove that burner is ok.

If that works, and Roxio does not, go into your Device Manager and give us the ID string of your burner.

You can't set a default drive if your drives are not "recognized" by the burning program

What is the make and model numbers of your drive(s) ?
P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same [pick one]
