I have a purchased copy of Creator 9 installed on a machine running XP. We're burning dvds from this using Mydvdexpress with no problems.

I wanted to speed up the process by also burning dvds on a laptop which has Creator 9 pre-installed and Vista Home Basic.

When I click on 'Import Movie' I can navigate to my files but I can't select them. The file icons are a circle with a diagonal line through them rather than the 'film clip' icon we get on the XP machine, or when I look at these files anywhere else.

I know the files are okay and play without any problems.

Any suggestions why I can't select them? Is this yet another Vista issue maybe?

No, it won't be a Vista issue. It will be a 'cut-down OEM version of Creator 9' issue.

The cut-down versions have been castrated so that DivX/XviD video and AC3 audio [the most popular video and audio codecs] can't be used.
Please see THIS topic. It's very likely you will get the same results as I got, if you test your cut-down version. sad.gif
