I want to take parts of a video and make them into pictures. Anyone know how to do this?

Open VideoWave, click on View, click on Media Selector, then browse to your video.  Right click on it and click on Extract Image.  Go through your video until you get to the frame that you want to save as .jpg or .bmp, and extract it.

The problem with media selector is it has no dial to move the file frame-by-frame so you can get the best/clearest shot in, say, an old 8 mm converted to digital.  Is there a way to open media selector, such that you get the editing dial that allows you to select a precise frame?

You can do it from with in VW  as well (see screen shot). You can then use the frame by frame buttons to get the best shot. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I did enjoy my time in Idaho, but I sure wouldn't move there.

Thanks Bruce learn something new everyday. Can't comment only been to the west coast once in 85 for 2 weeks.
