I have been using EMC 10 Suite for a long time but this is my first time to try to use Easy Audio Capture. When I click on Capture From the drop down window is blank even when I have a CD or DVD in the drive. I want to capture some audio from a DVD I made. It is not copy write protected. Does anyone have a solution to copy audio from a DVD or how to make Easy Audio Capture recognize any media? Thank you!

This forum is for Creator 2010… If you have EMC 10 let us know and we will move it.
Would also need your PC specs like I have listed in my signature, along with Audio Card info.

To capture the CD tracks into Creator you will need to actually play the CD. Roxio copies only what is being played through the soundcard. When you open the Roxio capture audio window you may need to select different devices from the options list e.g. internal speakers, stereo mix. Also under "Capture Settings" click the options button and tick the box "mute system sounds" as this prevents other computer sounds interferring with your recording. I hope this solves your problem.

Charles; The OP is trying to capture/rip music from a DVD (Not copywrited). Not the same and also you are wrong about the need to capture audio. If you have a CD, you can simply rip the audio from the disc; several discs at one time if necessary. You would simply use "Rip" or "Rip Advanced".
If the Creator 2010, then he could go to the Learning Center at the bottom of the Home page, select Music and then the applicable video. Perhaps you should consider looking at those videos also.

Oh my! I had no idea there is a Roxio Creator 10. I thought I had my solution when a member directed me to the learning center but I could not find such a place. I now realize I have Easy Media Creator 10 Suite. I hope I will not need to buy the other suit to solve my problem to copy audio off a DVD!
Please direct me to the correct forum. Will you please direct me to the correct forum?
Sorry guys, you are so helpful and knowledgable. Good luck helping each other!

You don't stand a chance when they get cute with naming their products...
I don't have any EMC 10 anymore but from what I saw in the 2010 Learning Center that Steve recommended, you should be able to do that from EMC 10…
Open Music Disc Creator then under Add to Project, select Import from CD/DVD.

Point it to your DVD and follow the prompts.
Give it a try and let us know how you make out with it.
