Somewhere I read that Toast 9 and 10 doesn't work with a computer without a monitor.
I know this use to work in the past. What version of Toast stopped running without a monitor attached?
And, why would a monitor be a requirement for software that burns disks?

This is a trick question, right?
Is there a punchline?

On a standard scenario, headless systems are used for Servers and server applications which Toast is not.

I can't believe this is such a difficult configuration for this group to handle.... Besides the two power users who negated my request for information in this thread, someone named grampabruce privately wrote me to tell me I'm a moron for asking this question.
For those few of you who burn DVDs with headless computers, the solution is to connect Analog Green and Ground on the DVI interface with a 100 ohm resistor. Here's the web site that I got the solution from:

Count me in. I am also do monitorless disk burning. Currently I am using Toast 7 to do that. The reason: free up my new Mac to do CPU intensive jobs while I am burning CD and DVD for the clients on the other Mac. It's very unreasonable for Toast to omit that features. I just don't have the extra room to connect another monitor just for that. My current new Mac is already hooking to dual monitors. Since Snow Leopard has built-in remote desktop feature called share screen, I use it to check my disk burning status in one small corner of my second monitor. KVM switch? why bother spending more money when share screen works just fine. Toast, please put it back.
