Easy cd creator 5 Copying DVD's

I am having trouble copying DVD's to a blank recordable DVD. Each time i put the blank DVD in the drive the program tells me its not a recordable disk. I chcked the hardware and it is compatable with the disks im using. Now, I think the firmware is outdated and cant find any updates because the program is 9 years old. Does anyone have any ideas for me. THANKS.

What software do you have? If its that old perhaps it cannot even write to DVDs. Firmware is related to you hardware not directly to software.

ECDC 5 can do Data DVDs, but not Video DVDs. Also, Dual Layer is not supported by the software.

I am assuming the drive is recognized, which would eliminate that problem.
