After burning several DVD-R discs correctly this morning, after canceling a burn when I noticed a file naming mistake, Toast 10.0.5 began incorrectly calculating the Space Remaining on Dual Layer discs. It insists that dual layer discs hold 6.64 GB of info instead of the normal 7.96 GB, and it insists that my 6.77 GB of files will span 2 discs instead of fitting on one.

I tried reinstalling Toast 10.0.4 but it didn't solve the problem. I'm running Mac OSX 10.5.8 (Leopard).

Is there any way to reset Toast's knowledge of what size a Dual Layer disc is supposed to be?

What brand of DL are you using and what model of recorder drive?

This usually is fixed by trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and relaunching Toast.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Yes, that seems to haved fixed the problem. Maybe I'll go back to 10.0.5 and try it again for a while. Thanks.
