Hi, I want to use a small part of a video as an overlay. i tried to select a section (between 2 markers on the timeline), but unfortunately i can't just select it, copy and then paste it onto the overlay section.. Is there an easy way to do this, or should i add the complete video as an overlay and then trim that?

I don't know what you mean by overlay. Is this the menu background?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Poster doesn’t have Toast… In VideoWave you have the movie, then you can have 6 overlays on top of it. Allows for Bluescreen, pic-in-pic or many other video effects.
