I have vista on my new computer. I tried to download emc7 and got an error message that said it was incompatible. is there any way to make it compatible? I don't use it much and don't want to pay for 2010, plus I hear a lot of bad things about 2010. Please keep it simple for this "newbie".

Sorry, but no. EMC7 isn't compatible with IE7 either.
Depending on exactly what you used EMC7 for, you might be able to use what's already built in Vista.
