I had some trouble getting Tivo Transfer in Toast 9 to work after installing OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Eventually got it to work by doing the following:
1. Download the Toast 9.0.7 update which is available on the Roxio website (over 200 MB in size - takes a while).
2. You can try moving it into the applications folder, but it told me I didn't "have permission" to do so.  Copy the new Toast folder to the desktop and re-name it (ex Toast 9.0.7 Titanium).
3. Move the old Toast Titanium folder out of Applications and into the Trash.  If there's a separate Tivo Transfer icon in your applications folder, move it to the Trash also.
4. Pop the old Toast icon off the dock.
5. (I also deleted Toast and Tivo items in the Preferences folder, although I'm not certain this was necessary.)
6. Move the new Toast 9.0.7 folder from the desktop into Applications and drag the new Toast Titanium icon (insider the folder) down to the dock.
7. Open Toast and go through the Toast Setup assistant to enable Tivo Transfers. I'd skip the registration process and click Finish.
