How do you burn a DVD Audio disc? I see no features for this anywhere even though I went through a very long winded Q&A with customer support before buying. They said it did this so...
Here's the same example.
I have 6 songs mixed in both stereo and in 5.1 surround.
The stereo files are 24 bit 96k resolution.
The surround files are 24 bit 48k resolution
The stereo files can look like this:
Song1.L.WAV
Song1.R.WAV
Song2.L.WAV
Song2.R.WAV
etc.
or like this (these being stereo interleaved)
Song1.WAV
Song2.WAV
etc.
The surround files look like this (6 mono files for each song):
Song1.Lf.WAV
Song1.C.WAV
Song1.Rf.WAV
Song1.Ls.WAV
Song1.Rs.WAV
Song1.LFE.WAV
Song2.Lf.WAV
Song2.C.WAV
Song2.Rf.WAV
Song2.Ls.WAV
Song2.Rs.WAV
Song2.LFE.WAV
etc.
File types can be changed to SD2, AIFF or whatever if needed (but NOT lossy).
What I want is a DVD Audio with 2 folders present (AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS)
Audio from the above example would be authored into the AUDIO_TS folder. The VIDEO_TS folder would be empty. I'd like a menu to select the audio option of stereo or 5.1.
That's it. How is this done?

Toast doesn't make DVD-Audio discs. It can make a music DVD which is not the same as DVD-Audio. The music DVD will have two-channel audio unless the source files are already 5.1 ac-3 tracks before adding to Toast. The Music DVD is created in the Audio window.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

This is the conclusion I'm coming to as well. The audio in VIDEO_TS feature doesn't work either. Gaps are inserted between tracks in spite of the preference being set for zero gap (pause). Product support just plays dumb - ask a specific question and they respond by asking "What product were you trying to use again?"
THEY BAITED AND SWITCHED ME!
I'm done with this company.
AVOID THIS DOA PRODUCT AT ALL COST!

If you bought as a download from Roxio there is a 30-day refund policy.
