I have a Sound Blaster Audigy and if I set the Input to "What you Hear" then I can record what I'm hearing on the net.
As far as Video,I'm not sure.
A lot has to do with your sound card and OS.

What kind of live stream? Creator 2010 can capture audio and video from flash based web sites such as YouTube. Read this. I do not see in the sales information that Creator 2009 has that function.
