Programme crashes on 'connect video' window every time I reach fatal processor problem?

I've just installed Easy VHS to DVD for MAC on my ibook G4. It crashes every time I get to the second window ('connect video'). I've tried reinstalling and have updated to version 1.03 to no avail. Belatedly checking the required specs I notice that I should have at least a powerPC G5 to use it, but of course my laptop has a G4 processor. I presume this is the problem (and feel foolish) - but is it fatal? Have I just bought the wrong software for my machine or does anyone know if I can save it somehow?
