Simple Backup Will not recognize removable USB Drive

I recently purchased Version 5 of Simple Backup with the expectation recording backups to a removable USB 1TB drive. I cannot get Simple Backup to recognize the USB Drive.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.
