Okay here is the deal. I want to edit an hour long show, Spectacle with Elvis Costello with John Prine, Ray LaMontagne and Lyle Lovett.  I want to edit several individual performances into several separate segments approximately 4 minutes in length. I have attempted to pick one performance and cut out everything else out. I have been successful in the video portion but the audio does not match the edited segment. The audio from the begging of the recording is played along with the newly edited piece. So I can edit the right amount of video but the accompanying audio is not there (does not match). Why does software allow you to edit the video part but does not cut the previous edited video and audio. TiVO file, Toast 9 mac G4. Then I want the edited video with the right audio and Convert the Audio part for export to iTunes. Phew!
