Is this a downloaded file you're using?  If so, the download might not have completed.

I have purchased the Installation CD from new. When I get the error message it either does not let me install or it asks me to "retry" to find data1.cab.  After selecting "retry", I wait for 10 minutes then the same message appears.  I have checked the installation disc and data1.cab is there but is will not find it for the installation.

I originall had Easy creator 6 on my laptop which was uninstalled as there were problems copying dvd's. Could this be the problem.  If so what should I look for.

Any advice would be useful.

Does your computer meet the minimum specs for version 8?

You purchased the installation disk from where?  Did the software come with 2 disks?
