When inserting the original disc to download the information in preparation for the copy, I am getting a message saying " An error has occurred recompressing the video"
What do I do to rectify it? am I using the wrong settings? could somebody lead me through the process?
Thanks,

Are you wanting to make a single-layer DVD from the dual-layer source disc? Try choosing Save as Disc Image. If that completes okay then burn the new DVD from the resulting .toast file using the Image File setting in the Copy window.

Thanks for the reply,
I want to make duplicate from a DL-DVD to another DL-DVD. When I insert the original one to download it gives me a message that " an error has been occurred in
recompressing the video". So I do not know if the set up is wrong, and if so how do I do it?

You are using either the VIDEO_TS folder setting in the Video window or the Disc setting in the Copy window. Uncheck the box at the lower left next to "Use fit-to-DVD video compression." Then choose Save as Disc Image. When that is done burn the resulting .toast file to a DL disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window.
