Tivo Transfer Not Showing DVR

I recently changed wireless modems. I don't know if this is the culprit or not. I have gone through the entire list suggested on Roxios help site and have gone through everything I could find on Tivo's web site. But nothing has worked. Everything else seems to work fine. Using Tivo Desktop, I can publish my music and photos to the TV, so the Tivo and computer are communicating.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have gone through all of the steps listed above in the "Transfer" help area. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software, nothing.

It sounds like your new wireless router may be set to block the Bonjour discovery protocol which is used by many applications as well as TiVo Transfer. Look in your router settings to see if there's anything about blocking/allowing mDNS or multicast packets -- which need to be allowed. Some Linksys models have the setting backward where enabling it actually disables it and vice versa.
There's an application called Bonjour Browser available at www.tildesoft.com that can allow you to see if your Macintosh can "see" any of the services being advertised by other devices on your network. TiVo boxes advertise _tivo-videos services.

I was able to access the Tivo unit using iTivo and by typing in https://(tivoip). I jsut cannot access it with Tivo Transfer.

After a bit of searching in Google it's pretty apparent that the Actiontec PK5000 router does not support Bonjour at all. There are similar posts when folks trying to use Bonjour with an HP printer, Apple TV, Back To My Mac, etc. all not working because of this.
iTiVo doesn't use Bonjour -- but rather the IP address that you see appears on its screen which is why it works

In the long run, you'll be happier to have a router that supports Bonjour -- not just for TiVo Transfer purposes either. A bunch of Mac OSX applications use Bonjour and it simply makes things easier in my opinion.
However, there is a built in web server in the TiVo itself that you can access to download recordings. However, they will be the encrypted .tivo files -- but the Toast Video Player can be used to play those since it has your Media Access Key.
Use a browser to go to https:// (note the "s") followed by the IP address of your TiVo (you can see this on the Phone & Network Settings screen). You should be asked for a user name and password. The user name is "tivo" (without the quotes) and the password is your 10 digit Media Access Key. If successful, you should see a browser representation of your Now Playing List from which you can download recordings.

I noticed last night that I have the same issue with my setup. [ iMac -> Time Capsule ...wireless...> TiVo ]
Ran the Bonjour Browser utility program, which could see the TiVo ok, then noticed that the TiVo Transfer program could now also see the TiVo.
Was able to repeat this. If the TiVo Transfer program can't find my TiVo, it does as soon as I would run Bonjour Browser.
Not sure why this works.
