I just purchased creator 2010 Pro. and installed it on my PC (Lab top with Xp).
I have 8mm home video DVD (5 chapters) .VOB format but the sequences of video on the DVD is wrong (ie child at age 10, then child at age 3, etc).  I want to edit the Video such that each 5 minuit segment is in the correct time order.

Creator Pro does not recognize .VOB files (that were copied from the DVD).  Using a Free demo program, I converted the .VOB to .AVI.  Creator does recognize .AVI but the free converter marks the converted file (I can't use it).

A) Does Creator Pro convert .VOB to .AVI? I can't get it to do that.

B) Does Creator Pro allow direct .VOB editing? (without converting to .avi)? I can' get it to do that.

C) If the above approaches are off-base, how should I go about editing this Video?

What software do you really have? You posted in the C2009 forum but state you are using C2010 Pro. Which one is it?

C2010 pro has no problem accepting vob files. How are you adding them in Videowave (Edit Video - Advanced)? There is no need to convert the video to avi. Did you copy the the Video_TS folder from the DVD to your hard drive first? What do you mean by "Creator Pro does not recognize .VOB files"? Are there error messages?
