Hi there, I have a few dvd clips that I want to put together, but I only get toast 7 to play all files with no chapters... is it possible to make chapters without using the menue...? the first video, should auto start, and then it would be nice to have the option to click to the next clip?

anyone?

When you say you have a few DVD clips does that mean they are now on DVDs? If so they already are MPEG 2 files and either have embedded chapter marks in them or not.

When you use MPEG 2 video in Toast, Toast either includes the existing chapter markers if present or creates chapter markers every 5 minutes. The chapter menu option only affects whether there is a menu for selecting the markers: the markers are present in any case.

So you shouldn't have to do anything in order to have the chapter skip button advance the video as long as the clip is at least 5 minutes in length.

If you aren't getting chapter markers let me know more about the kind of video you are using and the steps you are using in Toast.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I guess I was a bit fast... I have ripped some files (all legal) and there are some mp4 files, some .dv files, some .VOB files... that I should put together as one movie, with the option to skip to next clip
