I have Vista Business which came loaded with Roxio Easy Creator 9.  Have had the laptop for years.  Tried to use Roxio the other day for the first time to copy a DVD that I created and couldn't, got the message "No Drive Detected".  Any help? thanks

Yes, have used drive for years.....In the last little while have read other info and downloaded and installed px 3 and px 4 engines.  The drive is now recognized, and I have copied the dvd to a temp file on the hard drive, but when I install the blank disc in to write, it keeps ejecting it.  It is a sony drive on a sony laptop and a sony DVD-R 120 min, 4.7 gb dvd.  the file size of original is 1 gb.  I have written with this drive to these discs in the past.

Have you attempted to test with a different brand other than Sony? I suggest you do.

I have the same problem with two different brands.  I have Roxio Creator Premier Blu-ray 10.2 that came bundled with my dell xps system.  Dell claims its a Roxio problem, but can't get anyone from Roxio to assist.

Tell the Dell tech support that part of the OEM agreement is that THEY provide support for software they bundled.

Unfortunately Dell are a shade notorious for buck-passing on any OEM related queries.

That being said, what brands of discs have ytou used? Did you try Verbatim (recommended) and are you having problems with CDs, DVDs (or both)?

Also what version DO you have? (you say Creator 10.2 but you are posting in the EMC9 forum). There is an Easy Media Creator 10 - and a Creator 2010 which are not the same thing so please be specific as to name and number

howdy!
or yr pc had not simply been installed the right driver for its device, then check the yellow mark in the device manager.
or go to the MS website or the (link removed) for its update page,
before it,u need to uninstall the wrong driver, then it'd the scanning on the page, downloading and then installing, restarting.
good day,thx

For a start, the post you are 'replying' to is almost a year old

Second - you seem to be unable to distinguish between a drive (a piece of hardware) and a driver (which is software).

I also removed the link for the external app (most of the sites offering to 'find' updates are totally untrustworthy)

We also prefer people NOT to use text style speech abbreviations - there are non-English speakers using this forum and it does help if words are correct
