I am getting the same thing - Apple said to contact 3rd party for the issue.
My computer doesn't crash but just the program (Toast Titanium 10.0.6) only after
the disc has been burned!

Need more information in order to troubleshoot this. What Mac do you have? Which version OS X? What are the steps that lead up to Toast crashing? If this involves a video or audio file please provide the specs for that file.

I have the same issue. I loaded Toast today and the program crashes every time I try to convert a video TS file to the Apple TV format H264. I started with a physical upgrade copy of Toast 10 Pro. When I installed it I got a notice that an upgrade was available. I downloaded and installed the upgrade. I had Toast 9, ( and used AppZapper to delete it after installing the Toast 10 Pro upgrade.) When I click across the options at the top of the Toast window and select "Convert" and "Video TS" and drag a video TS folder to the Toast window, Toast crashes. Once I got a message that said Toast quit because of an OS error (50) but usually after a force quit I get a notice that a report will be sent to Apple. I have a 17" MacBook Pro with a 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I have 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I have OS 10.6.2 Snow Leopard with updates. A previous entry in this thread says that Roxio Tech Support hasn't been any help with a similar issue. Another post says to delete plist items. There's no indication if that does any good so I'll try it before I delete the current APP and start over. BayBrian

I worked on my Toast today. I tried deleting the plist from my library and got no result. I didn't bother trying the Preference file in the library. I tried making a disk image of the Video_TS file and importing that into iMovie for editing. iMovie wouldn't import the disk image. I think one of the responders in this thread is on to something when he states that an Xvid codec in Quicktime will make Toast crash. Every time I force quit Toast I find Quicktime is open. I had Quicktime Pro before I upgraded to OS 10.6. Sno lep comes with Quicktime 10 and parks the Quicktime Pro in the Applications folder. I suppose what I should do is make Toast crash again and determine which Quicktime is open and then check to see what's in the Quicktime. I've recently downloaded and installed an iMovie services bundle from the Automator download site. Among these services is a conversion application. I tinkering with Toast today I found everything else I tried to be functioning. Bay Brian

I just went through these steps on my 15" MacBook Pro and all worked fine. My guess is there is something about that VIDEO_TS folder that is causing the crash. As a workaround and test try this: Choose Video Files as the format in the Convert window. Choose DVD with the top button of the Media Browser. Use the browser to select the title(s) you want to convert and add those to the Video window. When Toast is done extracting the video click the button to convert to AppleTV. Does this work?

Man, how'd you get so smart? I did what you said and found that with the addition of a couple of bits of information, you've solved my problem. The 2 items that took me a few minutes to figure out were these: when I opened the DVD section of the media browser there was something there before I made any selection. I clicked on the lower bar in the media browser and there was my DVD that contains the Video-TS file I want to convert. I selected it and dragged it's icon from the media browser window to the Toast converter window and watched the progress bar closely while Toast extracted the video. (You can never tell what might happen if you take your eyes off the screen) At that point I could have completed the conversion to H264 codec but I noticed a button that said "Edit" by my file's icon. I clicked it and found the means to name my file and select chapter markers. There also seems to be a way to edit out unwanted portions of the file before conversion. I haven't quite figured out how to work that yet. My primary purpose here is to be able to edit files I record from my TV. For example, I have 6 versions of The Nutcracker Ballet that I recorded in December from Ovation TV. That's a commercial station so I'd like to edit out the ads. I'd like to send the edited copies to a friend in Moscow who doesn't especially need to see the ads. The other pressing need I have is to correct the color on some old home video that I transferred to DVD. I'll have to put that into iMovie. Hey, since this forum works so well, I have an old Tangerine colored iMac DV, would anybody like to buy it?
Thanks Bay Brian

I don't suppose you'd trade your Austin Healey for the iMac? Tangerine is in the same color family as the blue on the car. Thanks for directing me to the tutorials. Bay Brian

Oh yeah, I've always wanted one of those. (not exactly true). Technically, my Healey's colour (need to be British) is Florida Green. I once overheard someone pointing out my car to a friend "Did you see that blue Corvette?" Groan. My wife and I have owned this 1958 Healey since 1972 so you can guess i'm keeping it awhile longer.

Just loaded toast 10, updated to 10.6a
crashes at 99% when burning video and photos
will burn video only
when I make an image of video/photos it crashes at 99%
When I then attempt to open the image with toast it opens an audio file from itunes
Can't figure out why the conflict?
Anyone have similar issue(s)?
Thanks in advance!

Help me understand exactly what settings you are using. My sense is you are using the DVD video setting and adding videos as well as still images for a DVD slide show. The default is to "Add original photos" so the actual full-resolution photos are added to the DVD as data files and Toast also includes a slide show player for viewing those images on a computer.
Does the crash happen at 99% of the encoding or 99% of the writing of the disc or disc image?
As a test, uncheck the box to "Add original photos" and attempt to create a disc image.
I've had previous versions of Toast crash when trying to encode a specific photo in which the jpeg was corrupted. You also could test by removing a few photos that are at the end of the project to see if it might be a specific photo that's causing the crash.

Yes I have it checked to add original images as I did in toast 7, I had no problems with "7"
I made the jump to "10" for the HD
I will attempt the burn with unchecking the add original images
Thanks for the assistance

Also do the test where you remove the last few images to see if one of them is the cause for the crash.

I forgot to mention that my issue has been happening with audio files (AIFF or SDII)

I haven't heard of this one before. Am I correct in understanding that you are burning an audio CD and Toast crashes after the disc is successfully burned? What's supposed to happen at that point is a window should open asking if you want the mount or eject the disc. I'm guessing there is a communication issue between Toast and the drive when the disc finishes burning. Are you using the built in superdrive? How does Toast describe the drive at the bottom left of the Toast window?
