unsure.gif Hi, I bought CinePlayer BD today because the advertising says it will play all BD discs. Glad to say it  will play BD's using notebook monitor but as soon as I try to use an HDMI cable to my HDTV the CinePlayer BD playback stops and I get a message saying there is a COPP issue and that I need to enstall the appropriate decoders! I feel frustrated! I realise this is something to do with copy protection but I am not trying to copy anything I just want the BD to be played on a bigger screen. Any solutions?

Actually, a quick look at COPP makes it look like there may be a problem with your HDTV communicating to the laptop.  You might want to try a new HDMI cable, and if you have a choice go for the "better" one.  Otherwise, make sure your Windows DirectX is up-to-date.

Good luck!

Roxio's implementation of HDCP is poor at best it does not support repeater's etc not fixed by any service packs as of yet.  I cannot say for sure but it sounds to me like you are running into a bug of their implementation of HDCP hopefully someone from roxio will chime in on this question.  Maybe they will let us know when the implemention of HDCP will be fully compliant.

I was hoping to use cineplayer to my projector thru hdmi (HDCP Compliant Reciever) however that is not working tried many times to get some kind of answer as to if and when this issue would be addressed and have not ever recieved a response to the question thru phone support, web support or im on the forum.  I think this will most likely be the last Roxio product for me I hope you have better luck!

Got exactly the same problem. Only purchased the Blu Ray plug in so that I could use the HDMI output on my laptop on my TV! Hope Roxio bring out a fix for this as If knew this before hand, would not have purchased it!!!

Same issue here.  Opened a ticket with tech support.  If it doesn't work I just want my money back.  NVIDIA ready....don't think so.

Have you been hibernating???

You posted into a Year Old Topic and want your money back on product that hasn't been sold for quite some time...

Perhaps if you start your own New Topic and state your problem along with your PC specs (video card and drivers important) we can get you up and running. ;)

Drivers are all up to speed from NVIDIA.  Roxio up to speed March 2011 update.  Roxio had COPP issues before update, now current it has HDCP issues.?.
