I created a presentation in Videowave that's mostly photos, with a video clip in the middle. Starting with the third panel, I want to insert text in a frame saying "Welcome" and have it extend through the rest of the panels except for the last two. I've tried using timeline to extend it all the way, but it hangs up at the video clip and also in another place for an unknown reason. Also, when I recreate the text and frame after the hangups, and when the text goes to two lines, there is a gap in the frame between lines of text. This text will be updated frequently to add people's names and I would like to only have to make changes in one panel. I'd really appreciate any tips you can offer. Thanks.

It's not clear how you are adding the text to your project. What do you mean by "insert text in a frame"? Are you referring to a storyline panel? Are you adding the text on the internal track of the panel?
You should have no problem adding text to the text track and using the timeline to extend it over the desired section by simply dragging the right end of the text block.

That is going to get messy… When you edit your VideoWave text later, you will have to recreate your MyDVD Project as Roxio does not recognize changes in MyDVD! – Tips
First the How To
I have 3 stills, a movie and 2 more stills:

I want my Text to begin with still #2, extend through the blimp still and into the movie:

So I move to Timeline, add my Text Effect to my Production:

and

I then drag and size it on the Text 1 track so that it conforms to what I want to see:

Give that a try!

That worked! Thank you very much!
