Just installed EMC 8 yesterday, rebooted, then it wanted to install the update (what the?? already??) so I did, then rebooted. Finally got to burn a CD, and wanted to use the full program. Problem is, I cannot see any of "writing" in the program.

For example, I cannot see where "File" "About" should be at the top. I know they're there, because if I click up there, the menus show up, but they are not labeled.

Also, I can see the cute little disc options to the left, but they are NOT labeled so I don't know what they do. When I try to add things to burn, I get a message screen but I don't see what's in the box, so I have no idea which option to click. Also, if I ignore the message, I can't burn the CD because I don't see the option to actually do that.

My Drag-n-Drop works okay, although there seems to be a problem with "refreshing" but I figured out a lame work-around.

I did un-install and then re-install RMC 8, but the labeling problem is still here. :) Help! Thanks.

Try a different screen resolution and see if that helps.

Tried different resolutions, themes, and colors. Still not able to see labels and messages. :) If it helps, I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Please list your system specs.
Have you updated your video drivers?

Do you know what DPI setting you are currently using? If you are on the window where you change your screen resolution, click on advanced. The DPI setting is on the top 1/2 of the window you are looking at. Make sure it is set to Normal (96DPI).
I dont know for sure if that will solve your problem, but it's worth a shot.
