Why does Photo Suite change the EXIF data? I can agree that it should overwrite the Software field and the ModifyDate field, and many of the other fields don't really matter, but DateTimeOriginal AND CreateDate? This does not make sense to me. Further complicating the mystery, Photo Suite doesn't always change the dates!

Is there something I'm overlooking?  I keep my photos organzed by date taken, so unless there is a fix for this, I can't use Photo Suite for editing.

Can any one tell me if Creator 2010 also exhibits this behavior of overwriting the EXIF fields, especially the DateTimeOriginal and CreateDate? Every other program I have looked at leaves most of the EXIF alone. If it handles EXIF data correctly, I will certainly consider upgrading from Creator 2009. I like the editing features of PhotoSuite.
Again, if I am missing or misunderstanding something, please tell me that as well.
Thanks
Stan

I am not in front of PC with the software but try to disable Roxwatch. It monitors multimedia files. Refer to this post on how to disable that program.

Let us know if that resolves the issue.

You must be overwriting the original photos if the DateTaken gets changed in the EXIF data. It seems that Photosuite considers your edited/cropped photo as a "newly" taken photo and changes the DateTaken date.

Creator 2010 also changes the DateTaken date.
