When I try to burn a Video_TS folder and modify the options so that it only burns the main movie and the main audio, I get the error "Could not record the disc because of a Mac OS error Result Code=-999". However, if I don't change the options, the disc burns just fine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a way around it?

Thank you!

First I've heard of it. Have you tried with a different VIDEO_TS folder? Which version OS X and Toast are you using. Is yours a G4, G5 or Intel Mac?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I have tried it with different Video_TS folders (and I upgraded to 10.06 last night. I was at 10.0). I am using an Intel Mac.

I'm having the same problem on my Dual 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5 running Mac OS X 10.5.8. This happened both before and after updating Toast to 10.6.

If I don't change any options Toast compresses and extracts the file, but after that finishes I get a Buffer Underrun Error. Well this seems highly unlikely: 1) I have Buffer Underrun Prevention enabled; 2) I have tried burning the disc at, Best, 4X, 2X, and 1X all with the same result. I'm using 16X media and a 16X optical drive.

Were either of you able to burn successfully before the upgrade? Have you tried the basic trouble shooting steps just for good measure?

Thanks,

Jon

I first tried to burn this on my MacBook Pro 2 GHz Intel Core Duo running Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Toast 10.6. Did not work. Since I had just updated my laptop to Toast 10.6, I thought I would try it on my desktop using a previous version of Toast 10. Did not work. Updated my desktop to 10.6. Did not work.

I just looked at all the basic trouble shooting steps, nothing there I have not tried already.
