Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert the .jwl files from Easy Creator 5 to Roxio Creator 2009? I just need to convert the Jewel Case Insert, trayliner and CD labels into the newer version of Roxio. By the way, if it is via a command, script or whatever, let me know too.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I've dug around a lot on this, but I don't know a way to convert the files - they're too different.
In the end I just ran the Label Creator from 5.3.5.10 in XP and Windows 7 to print off labels from version 5 .JWL files.
That worked.

Brendon, thanks for the response. So you got Easy Cd Creator 5 to install in Win7? I tried setting the compatibility mode to run in xp sp2 and sp3 as well as w2k and set to "run as administrator". It flashed but not install. How did you get it to install in Win7? I am running Win7 x64 by the way.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi Jennifer,
No, it's impossible to run ECDC 5 in Win7, but if you have it on another machine or have a backup of it, you can just drop the Label Creator directories into a folder on your Win7 system and run Label Creator from there without having to install anything.
Here's part of the Easy CD Creator 5 structure on an XP machine.
You just copy the Label Creator folder and its two sub-folders [Page files and Style files] to anywhere convenient on your system, and then make a desktop shortcut to CDLabel.exe for when you want to run it.
Sure it's a work-around, but it works.
Regards,
Brendon

Brendon,
Thanks again for replying. I will copy the files over to my Win7 pc as that is the only program I need from that suite.
Just FYI: I tried to install the CD on my other XP machine and it said it was incompatibile too. I went ahead and bypassed it. It seemed to install just fine. Crazy.
Anyway, thanks again!

Usually to install ECDC 5 on XP I recommend you Install and ignore the incompatibility warning, but don't reboot until after you have applied the updater to get you to version 5.3.5.
That way XP doesn't get to see you running with the older drivers.
Cheers,
Brendon
