I just installed Toast v10.0.6 and successfully linked to my TiVo DVR and transferred video to my Mac (OS=Snow Leopard). The issue I am having is when I convert the videos to iPhone/iPod format (to my iTunes), the picture is distorted when I playback. The picture is tall and narrow (think portrait orientation), and does not fill the width of the screen. This is true when I playback in both iTunes and on my iPhone. It's practically unwatchable, which really defeats the purpose of being able to transfer TiVo recordings to my iPhone, the whole reason I bought this software in the first place.
I realize there is a resolution restriction (640x480, apparently) for TiVo recordings, but does that mean I am doomed to a distorted image with an out-of-whack aspect ratio? Toast defaults the Quality to "Standard", so I can't even access the "Preserve Aspect Ratio" setting to try and fix this issue. Am I missing something?
TiVo recordings transferred to my old PC using TiVo Desktop Software which were then converted to iPhone/iPod playback just fine, even after I've migrated them to my Mac. So I know the problem must be in the conversion process happening in Toast.
Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, were you able to fix it?
