I have uninstalled EMC 7.5 via Windows XP SP2 "remove programs" - according to Windows it was successful. Now I get CinePlayer DVD Decoders popup windows "The CinePlayer decoders cannot find a valid license. Please re-install the product.". I have reinstalled and uninstalled EMC 7.5 but no success. A CinePlayer directory still exists in "Programs" and references are still found in a "REGEDIT find command". I want Roxio EMC & its bundled software off of my computer. Roxio/Cineplayer don't show up under the "remove program" list and Norton Systemworks has not cleaned up/out the registry entries. These popups are EXTREMELY ANNOYING! Thanks for any assistance.

"The CinePlayer decoders cannot find a valid license. Please re-install the product".

I have the exact same problem with EMC8 displaying the above popup . I've tried removing EMC8 w/Control Panel, reinstalling, deleting CinePlayer setup files using Windows Cleanup Utility, removing SLM_Dispatch.ll and reinstalling (suggested in another post) and repairing EMC8 to no avail.

Have you come up with anything? Thanks.

Recently, I had a similar problem, after converting a FAT32 disk to NTSF. Since then, CinePlayer was asking for an activation key each time I try to activate a video.

I have solve the problem the following way : I have open the registry, read the serial number of CinePlayer and give it to the activation window. It accepted it and all is now working as expected.

Maybe this might be of help to other users making various upgrades.
