I have a Dell computer with XP home os. I just replaced a CD/DVD drive and now when I try to format or save to disk using Sonic I receive message "Not DLA drive." The Sonic program says to use program disk to install DLA but no program disk came with computer.
Any suggestions how to make the cd/DVD drive DLA compatible?

Hi Sylvester,
It seems likely that you have a Dell OEM version of a suite containing Sonic DLA. I've not seen an error message saying "Not DLA drive", but perhaps that means that your new drive is a different type from what Dell normally use and so is not being recognized by the software.
If you read the pinned post up at the top of this page called "DLA driver blocked on Vista", you'll see a link in the final paragraph "For Dell Customers". If you download and run that patch it will install the newest version of DLA that's available to us, and that might get your drive recognized.
If that doesn't work for you, you may have to go back to Dell to see if they have a solution. Good luck.
