I attempted to copy "Out of Reach". The main problem that I have in Spain is that the DVD's available to me here have Spanish as the main language with English as second choice.
I started the copy process using the latest beta version of MTR and then tried to use Popcorn 1.0.2 and 1.0.3. Everytime I selected the VIDEO_TS file I got a message saying That "The DVD you are trying to copy is encrypted. DVD encryption software is not included in this software" This happened using Popcorn 1.0.2 or 1.0.3.
I then tried Popcorn 2 and was successful in selecting the VIDEO_TS file.
Unfortunately I was only able to complete the copy using VIDEO All - 1 movie 4 extras as using MAIN movie only or CUSTOM took away the choice of selecting MENU which meant that I could not select the language of my choice only Spanish.
I hope that Roxio correct this obvious oversight as I am sure that most users would like to select Main movie with MENU.
Another problem I found is that when attempting to preview a movie in CUSTOM it causes my Mac to completely freeze forcing me to cut the power to return to normal as "force quit" does not work.
I would appreciate any advice and hope that somebody from Roxio reads this as it has been impossible to contact them.

I don't know why the playback of the video in the Custom window caused the freeze. I haven't experienced that and I haven't read about this as a problem before now.

Roxio people say they will not include the option to remove items from a DVD and still retain the menu. If they did allow that you could have the problem of selecting items in the menu that don't work, which could freeze your DVD player.

You should be able to cycle through the audio language options using the Audio button on your DVD Player's remote control. If you can't you can use the Custom encoding window to select the audio track you want to include.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Just as a point of speculation, why couldn't Popcorn insert a pre-formatted file into a recording that displays for a few seconds, with text saying "This content is not available." (and a pretty Roxio graphic), replacing every file the user has not chosen in custom configuration?

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to fatham out how to use the settings in Popcorn 2 and would like your advice on the following.

Let's say I have a movie with 5 extras, 5 languages inc. English and sub titles in 13 different languages.

What settings do I use to make a copy from a VIDEO_TS file resulting in a copy of movie only in English with no subtitles. Whatever I have tried I end up with a movie only in English and a sub title that I don't want. As there is no menu available I can not deselect it.

I appreciate that I can do this by copying ALL but would prefer the above option.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
