I'm running windows XP SP2 with EMC8. I'm seriously thinking about buying Nero Express Ultra, EMC8 is too difficult, poor tech spport. I created a slide show/Production in My Video, saved it and then sent it to MYDVD, I only checked the box "ISO" file, I clicked on burn and in the ISO box option it says "C:\image.iso that's all it says. I clicked on "Burn" it encoded ok and finished the project, I then inserted a DVD-R dics into the drive and tried using drag to disc to format the disc before adding the ISO project to the disc but when I tried to format the disc in drag to disc, it gave me an error telling me the disc could not be formatted. I then opened the ISO file and then Disc copier came up, I tried burning the ISO file to the disc but disc copier kept asking me to put a blank disc in the drive which I did and it kept spitting out the disc and then asking me to insert an empty disc again. I just don't understand what is going wrong, I've been working on this for over 3 weeks with no luck but I do appreciate everyone who has responded to my issues and their help.

Windows XP SP2
1.8 GHz AMD Athlon processor
1.0 GB RAM
Abit motherboard
ATI Radeon graphics card with 256 MB's DDR RAM
80 GB HD

Thanks again for your responses and help

Jerry, Drag to Disc won't work for burning video projects. It should only be used for quick transfers of data from one computer to another.

When you go to burn your production to an ISO file, YOU change the name and location from C:\image.iso, to any location and name that you want. Once it is saved, insert a disc into your drive, open Disc Copier, and burn your production.

BTW, I always use VideoWave to create my slide shows and other videos.
Life is good!

YOU DO NOT FORMAT USING DRAG TO DISC unless you are planning to use it with D2D. Even if you did format it properly, you would NOT be able to burn an ISO to it. Disc Copier kept asking for a blank disc because a formatted D2D is NOT BLANK.

Insert a fresh disc from the spindle. Double click on the ISO. Disc Copier will pop up and burn it.

Does your burner use DVD-Rs? if so, then check the DVD burner's manfacturer's website for a firmware update.

Hi Bruce, I promise this will be the last time I bother you. I did exactly what you suggested, I created a folder on my back up drive D:\ called "Roxio Production Projects" I was finally able to rename the iso file named D:\Kauai_Vacation_plus.iso It copied it or burned it just fine to the Roxio Production Project folder. I then double clicked the file and "Disc Copier" did open. Problem is, in the "Source box" it says "browse for disc image/DVD-video folder-browse" odd part is, below where it says browse, my file is listed in black text. I have CD & DVD Copy selected. The source option box still says "browse for disc image/DVD-video folder-browse" I then click on browse and then "a window called "Media Selector opens" at the very top it lists my iso file I created. it also shows icons that say Individual Movies and below that another icon showing "Individual extras" I click OK and then it takes me back to Disc Copier, theres a thumbnail photo of my opening menu and the source box still asks to browse for disc image/DVD-Video folder-browse. above the thumbnail of my opening production it says "Contents" to the right of the thumbnail it says DVD-Video Disc, below that text it says 2 titles. The destination is correct, it's my Plextor Burner drive. what happens after this is the "copy now" button is non accessible, it won't hightlight and let me select it "copy now" I swear this is wearing me out and I'm certain you're tired of me bothering you. I want so much to make this work because I want to create this for my parents to watch, they are retired and they paid for my trip to Kauai with them and we took all these photos. Thanks again, I know this was a long message but I wanted to explain to you what happened. The last time I tried copy now it kept asking for a blank disc which I did insert, it waited a few seconds and then kicked the disc out and then it came up with the pop up balloon asking to insert a blank disc again!!! when I put a disc in, finally the "copy now" is ready, I click on it and then the same balloon shows up asking for a blank disc and it kicks the blank disc out of the drive.

It sounds like the drive isnt recognizing your media properly:
1) Try a new fresh blank disc, one never touched by a computer before
2) Try another brand of media.
3) It could be a drive related issue, you might need a firmware update or possibly there could be a hardware problem with the drive.

Sorry to see your still having problems Jerry. Have you burned DVD's before, if so,are you using the same media that worked before? :)
