problem with narration narration problems

when I go to the narration..it shows the device and input to where I have it on microphone...when I click start recording then that is when the box message that pops up and says"Failed to start narration" I click ok then it goes back to narration and I click on done to go out of it...I do see that the microphone is working........please help...janis

Just a suggestion. Have you made sure that the mike is not muted ? Click on the little speaker Icon on the lower right corner of the task bar (I assume you have it there) and look at the mike settings. When you say that you do see that the mike is working, what are you making that determination from ? Are you seeing the sound bar graph moving horizontally to the right with just a little red at the end ?

I assume you are in Videowave and in the "timeline" view, and are clicking on the small mike Icon to get to the recording screen.
