I[size="4"] am using XP prof. version. I have several DVD (Sony –R media) which I used Creator 6 to burn both data and pictures to the discs. Each time I insert in either of my drives, everything seems to lock up. I even attempt to get disc info using Creator 9 and everything seems to lock up. I don’t expierence any problems using +r or +RW. Please Advise

What program do you really have/ You say you have "Creator 9" (actually there is no such program) but posted in the Roxio Creator 2009 forum. There is a version called Easy Media Creator 9 which is now over 3 years/versions old.
What program from EMC 6 did you use to burn the data disc? Was it Drag-to-disc or Creator Classic?

If you have no problems with DVD+ discs, is your drive capable of handling DVD- ones?
What is the drive's make and model, please?
