Easy Media Creator 7 BASIC was included with my Plextor CD/DVD Drive. I like it but I wanted to upgrade so I purchased and installed Easy Media Creator 9 Suite. I didn't purchase 2010 cuz Roxio in it's infinite sutpidity
decided to drop Drage 2 Disc. I don't care if they like it or not. I DO and that's what's important. After installing "9", I found the D2D was inferior to the one included in "7". The "Launch Scandisc" was missing and I couldn't seem to change drive letters. (I have 2 DVD drives) Part of the "7" D2D menu actually says "Choose Recorder" which is missing in "9". Currently I am running Windows XP SP3, Internet Explorer 7, and Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 BASIC. My question in, Can I uninstall Roxio 7, KEEP Drag to Disc 7 and Re-install Roxio Media Creator 9 Suite??????? Please help!!!!!!

What version are you actually running?
You have posted under EMC8, say you have an OEM version of 7 and bought EMC 9
Now as far as I can recall, EMC9 does have drag to disc - but Creator 2009 doesn't - so which actually do you have?

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I bought EMC 9 not 2009. Yes EMC 9 does have D2D BUT as I said, it seems to be an abreviated version. It doesn't have scandisk to scan and correct problems on a CD nor does it seem to have the ability to change CD/DVD drives. I have a J and a K drive to record on and all it will recognize is the J drive. With EMC 7 D2D, I can change drives at will. It has that option on the D2D menu but EMC 9 doesn't seem to have the option. I can't find it anyway.

You could try a custom install and see if that works
To me EMC8 was about the worst one in the series (but that's a personal opinion - I really liked EMC 7.5 but that won't work on Wndows 7)

I switched over to EMC 7 general fourm cuz it seemed your first answer was chastizing me for posting to the wrong place EMC 8 instead of EMC 7 so I changed and posted there. I NEVER post to boards, fourms, chat, im's or anything else so I'm new to this. I typed my question to GOOGLE and it brought me to this fourm so I posted in the first place it took me. So that's why I'm HERE instead of EMC 7 general questions so thought I'd correct the mistake and then I got balled out for posting CORRECTLY there cuz I had already posted my question HERE. Some days you just can't win.

we all get days like that - but we do get a lot of confusuion over version numbers even worse since Roxio decided to change after EMC 10 and what should have been 11 and 12 became Creator 2009 and 2010 but people started calling those 9 and 10 so we never know half the time
