I've found if I re rip the disk in question and remove all captions in the process, and then rather than save it to another disk, I save it as a folder with the standard DVD files in it. I then run Roxio 2020 Video Converter to do the conversion and see the defaults are set with no captions, since there are no captions to use. I've run this on 4 disks thus far and it works like a champ. True, a huge time suck having to re rip the donor DVD but it's the only way I have found to keep the captions out of my Video file conversions.

If it isn't copyrighted, then state the source of your movie or this will be deleted...

Jim Hardin, STOP AVOIDING THE ISSUE! You keep saying that it's not a problem because people are using for illegal stuff. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE! The issue is that roxio has a bug. The options in copy and convert do not stay as the user sets them. This is a problem because roxio software is not working as the designers intended.

You are a "roxio guru." you should spend your "expertise" on solving this issue. Multiple people on multiple threads have told you that they need the roxio software to function as it is intended for legal purposes. So please, stop getting hung up on a detail, and help us to fix the problem.
