First off, I hope I am right here. My software:

Roxio Creator (DE - german version, but the german forum seems to be fallen asleep)
Version: 9.0.117
It came bundled with my Dell XPS 1530 (used to come with vista). After installing windows 7 I installed the cd creator again. but since then I am not able to burn a complete audio disc. It always gives me an error at the end of the burninng process which looks like this:

Sense: 02  ASC: 06  ASCQ: 00 (Command 00)
-------------------------------------------------------
Px.dll: 3.2.52.500
PxAFS.DLL: 3.2.52.500
pxdrv.dll: 1.1.99.0
PxMas.dll: 3.2.52.500
PxSFS.DLL: 3.2.52.500
PxWave.dll: 3.2.52.500
pxwma.dll: 1.0.0.3

So far I tried to burn an audio disc with several other programms like windows media player and cdburnerXP. those cd's are not working at all although the programs do not give me any error message. at least the audio discs burnt with roxio cd creator can be played by my cdplayer, but still I get an error message and no "burning successful".

Any idea?

You have a OEM Dell version, as I recall the only Dell version that supports Win 7 is 10.3.

All support for OEM versions comes from the supplier (Dell).

Hello Locke,

Version 9.0.116 is not compatible with Windows 7. Especially not in Windows 7 XP compatibility mode.

Sense: 02  ASC: 06  ASCQ: 00 (Command 00) means your burner is flagging a Not Ready error, no reference position found. It sounds lost.

You mention cdburnerXP, yet you're running Windows 7. I don't think any XP programs burn properly in compatibility mode, which could explain your situation.

Thank you for your answers.
seems to me that I have a hardware/driver problem as no cd, no matter which programm, works.
oh and btw, (I dont want to sound inpolite, just for your information) CDburnerXP is actually supposed to work on win7 (http://cdburnerxp.se/?lang=en)

Thank you and no offense taken. I have no knowledge of the capabilities of your freeware CDBurnerXP but I have heard that Win 7's compatibility mode is not as useful as it is claimed to be.
