If you want the latest from Roxio, it is called Creator 2010 (Pro).  Not 10.3.  If you get it directly from Roxio, you have a 30 day warranty to ask for your money back.  Make sure your computer can handle the program.  Usually the graphics is the big hang up.  Make sure you have the latest drivers for that card. ATI has been coming out with updates pretty frequently.

You may want to try removing the old program using Revo Uninstaller in the MODERATE Mode.

Perpare your computer like this before you install whatever you buy.

Thanks Skins , Have brought Pro and installed and patched before reading you post. Having same issues as before with animation menus not rendering (Seems to be only on  avchd's that Roxio down convert for editting into MPG;s)

The PC / graphics have a quite a bit of power (8 gig Icore 7 / 1 gig DDR5 ATI HD card) PC has been pacthed to all of the lastest patches .

Starting to think that maybe a stripped raided working disk set could help for rendering as only have one 7200 rpm spindle doing os plus video work.

Will un-install everything and follow the advice you have posted before trying Roxio support again.

Latest on this.

The pro 2010 version did improve the situation when adding 30 plus clips to DVD menus (oem would hang) but I couldn't burn a DVD with animated menus (Which would have been ideal for the Dance content) so I've seeked a refund based on the 30 day trial.

I will probably look at using an older version of Sonic (early Roxio ?)to build these anitmated menu DVD's and possbily trial 2011 and trial again.

I suspect the issue is somewhere between the Dell Windows 7 64 bit / ATI graphics combination and Roxio 10.3 oem and 2010 pro software.

Only Creator 2010 and Creator 2011 are certified to work with W7.  Some people have siad they they work but I wouldn't count on it.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
