When I create a DVD and test it in Preview mode, each menu is highlighted when I select it. When I create the DVD this highlighting does not occur, so I cannot tell which option I am currently on. Help!

How long in time is your video? What quality setting are you sing when burning the DVD? Anything other then HQ can create the problems you describe.
Have you tried switching the rendereing method? Look under Tool/Options.

The lengths vary - I've managed to convert anything from 10 seconds up to 2hrs - the quality setting from SP to HQ. The problem started when I tried to create a DVD of a holiday (Converting mpeg files to DVD PAL). The disk I'm trying at the moment ends up as HQ. I recently completely removed and re-installed the program, but the same thing still happens. I've tried both settings for rendering and they make no difference. My next attempt will be to copy a successful DVD and rename it (hopefully that will work).

On the Project Settings, the Menu Aspect Ration was set to 16:9 - when I changed it to 4:3 everything seemed to work (I've still got my fingers crossed!)
